FUNKTASTIK is Portland’s hottest new dance band presenting an exciting show that features the best of classic Motown & Soul hits. FUNKTASTIK is a six piece unit that stars singer Kim Johnson and a five piece instrumentation that includes: Thomas DeLano on saxophones, Karl Ludwigsen on Keyboards, Bill Chapman on drums, Rich Frasier on Bass, and Max Cheswick on guitar.

Collectively the members of FUNKTASTIK have diverse musical backgrounds that range from Rock & Roll to Jazz and everything in between. What all the members deeply share is a keen interest and love of classic Motown & Soul music. Melding this common interest with the performers’ diverse musical backgrounds allows FUNKTASTIK to bring fresh energy and creative interpretations to the classic Motown & Soul hits included in their shows.
